Is Paying My Bills Online Easier?

Online bill paying is not difficult at all. If, I can do it, I know you can. I'm no computer genius, but if you are reading this, then you can certainly pay your bills online.

How do I start paying my bills online? Go to your bank's website and simply login. You can also use an independent online payment service to pay your bills.

Your bank's website will be able to take you step by step through the process of setting up accounts for the bills you would like to pay. You can also schedule when you would like these bills paid and the amount you would like to pay.

There is usually not a fee charged by your bank for this online bill payment service. If there is a fee, the amount is normally minimal.

How do I know that my bills have been paid? Your bank or the majority of online bill payment sites include a payment activity page which provides you with the status of the payments made for you.

How does my bill collector or creditor receive my online payment? The payment is received by electronic payment or check.

If your creditor is set-up to accept payments electronically, your payment is automatically debited from your checking account and deposited into your creditor's account.

If your creditor is unable to accept your payments electronically, your bank will issue a check based on your payment request for that particular bill to be paid.
