What Is A Credit Report?

The credit report is a history of the debt you have now and in the past which indicates your payment history over a period of time.

The report also provides information concerning your current and past employers, address and payment history.

Is the report used when I try to obtain credit? Yes. The credit report will be used to determine if you will be able to qualify for what you are trying to purchase.

After you have submitted your application form to a particular company, they will look at how you have paid your bills.

If you have a good payment history, it is likely that you will be able to get the credit you have applied for.

If your payment history is poor, your application will most likely be rejected.

If you are approved to make a purchase with a payment history which is borderline, you may pay an enormous amount of interest for what you have applied for.
